I donate 100% of all my Life Coaching fees directly to this Charity …
What does this Amazing Charity do?
This Charity helps people that no other Charity reaches …
They are the ‘most needy’ elderly living in isolation and poverty around your community.
S.O.U.P performs a much needed and very special role in the Charity sector – there are various Charities that do great work to help the elderly such as Help the aged, Age UK etc…unfortunately due to the operating restrictions of these fine charities not everyone can be reached.
These Charity’s must keep within the parameters of their own guidelines, financial considerations, rules, T&C, protocols, manifestos, governing documents etc… so regrettably there is a portion of the elderly that fall outside of their catchment capability.
This leaves a large portion of vulnerable and forgotten elderly, who ‘never’ receive any help.
It is worthy of remembering that a lot of our today elderly, were once, young or middle aged and at that time they fought in World War 2 and gave their Lives for the future generations to Live on. That’s me and you. I personally feel repelled that our own Government and society as a whole allows this to go under the carpet and be something they conveniently neglect to address.
I am compelled to do whatever I can to ensure our elderly are given the Respect, care and attention they utterly deserve. I personally have donated a very large sum of my own money to this cause over the years along with thousands of hours of time and Emotion, my point is there is only so much I can do though. My hope, my wish is that S.O.U.P becomes popular and mainstream allowing the Charity to reach ALL the elderly that are in need of help, sooner, rather than later as it will likely be without the Charity’s growth.
Why is this Charity SO important?
… Our work is critical because there is no other support or back up behind us for these neglected elderly from any other Charity or organisation, in other words, if we don’t reach them – no one will. Without S.O.U.P’s intervention these poor souls will simply die, scared and all alone in their flats.
We at S.O.U.P akin ourselves to the SAS – we go behind the enemy lines so to speak and seek out and assist those very needy who are NOT REACHED by the traditional Charities helping the elderly community. We feed them, spend time with them, look after them and show them that there are human beings out there still in this cold world we live in that truly do care for them. Often these elderly individuals cry or breakdown in joyful overwhelm with relief in our presence, because of our reaching out to them and it is a most touching fragile moment.
There are a lot more elderly not reached – than you would ever care to know …
S.O.U.P’s aim is to provide a BETTER QUALITY of Life for the individual elderly person for the remainder of whatever Life they have left.
I am the Chairperson for this Charity and I created this organisation from scratch many year ago. To this day I still commit much of my personal time to this cause as it is incredibly fulfilling and meaningful.
I set this Charity up as a means to fulfil my long held ambition to put my desire to contribute to society, in to an organised structure. This was about the same time that I became Financially secure in my Life and so I could therefore facilitate this dream.
Long ago I decided that I wanted to make an impact on the World – in my own humble way, in a small and simple yet measurable way. I wanted to organise my ‘giving‘ and ‘caring‘ in to a channel / format that would be more than just a sporadic donation here and there or occasional help in person. I decided to create something that would have a strategy and structure for my desire to contribute. I wanted to have a plan and organisation. Not leave it to chance.
I wanted to dedicate myself to something that would be a Lifelong commitment, something that would be part of my Testimonial to Life and would supersede all my other interests in my Life then and in the future. I also wanted to ensure my contribution would have longevity through all the years and decades of my own life and beyond.
I decided a Registered UK Charity was the best way to accomplish all of this. This was the motive behind creating S.O.U.P. This was all in the early days of S.O.U.P back before, it was even conceived of or had it’s name.
I eventually went through 15 years of design and planning including many years work for other Charities such as the BHF, Befriending and the Samaritans to name a few, to gain the experience needed to one day to run my own Charity, which eventually became an official entity in 2007.
“To touch people’s lives – with our own actions – is the purpose of our own existence. There is no simpler, nor greater way than to give of your time, love and energy. Fulfilment in Life is often buried on the other side, of these values”.
My – Your – Financial Support for this Charity
As previously mentioned, in addition to my time and support, I donate 100% of all Life Coaching fees to the Charity. I do not receive any payment for any of my Life Coaching work. I request that the client pay the Charity direct / not me. I am able to do this because I am fortunate enough to have Financial security in my own life and am doing whatever I can therefore to support this very special Charity.
So know that if you decide to use any of my Life Coaching services – your payment is made direct to a very worthwhile cause, that then goes on to help numerous souls in need. This ripple effect is one of my personal plans for creating a better world, in my own small and humble way…
… Everybody wins … you benefit because you get to make that change in your life you wanted / needed, the Charity gets its donation that allows it to reach other souls out there in our communities and I get to feel good for contributing to the Charity, these souls and ‘you’.
Helping you – helps me – help a worthwhile cause ‘bigger’ – than myself, or you!
Because of bureaucratic you know what, the future may mean I am unable to do this believe it or not and I must take the payment direct so that the government can take a taxation cut no doubt! but I will fight to keep it this way for as long as I can.
The web site for this great cause is soupcharity.org
It would be great if you could take just 5 minutes out to take a look at what we do, if you wanted to offer some of your time to volunteering that would be amazing and if you even wanted to make a small donation that would be priceless to us…
S.O.U.P has teamed up with “donate the change“. This is a technological advance in to the 21st Century where donors can facilitate giving ( donations ) in to their daily routine through day to day purchases automatically using current contactless technology. Example : you go shopping and the bill comes to £39.85 because of the way you have chosen to set up your donations ( you are 100% in control ) you have automatically arranged the odd 15 pence in this example to go automatically to your Charity! You pay using your debit or credit card as usual and the shop takes the £39.85 and DTC automatically ‘donates’ the 15 pence to your chosen Charity. Simple, workable and controllable!
No more needing to save to give! No more manual buckets to fill outside a shop! No more remembering to donate! No more setting up direct debits or standing orders with your bank! etc…
S.O.U.P is not funded by the government or any council or anybody for that matter, we are a self fund raising organisation and it is only through kind donations and direct fund raising that we can continue to do our special work.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
To a BETTER QUALITY of Life …
